20 or 22AWG 600V Solid Hookup Wire Kit

I am looking for a kit of 20AWG or 22AWG 600VDC solid tinned copper hookup wire. So far all I find is individual spools of wire, but not in all the RETMA colors. I would like to have black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, gray and white colors so that I can have more flexibility in color coding the wiring in chassis I am working on. Do any of you know of a source for a kit? Or are we stuck with having to order 25ft, 50ft or 100ft spools?

This may be handy - I wire to this recommendation, it does help with set to work and fault finding if you stick to a consistent wire color code.

Ian;

Yes those are the standards that RETMA established in electronics many years ago and are what I am most familiar with. I try to use those color codes as indicated in the reference you linked to. It makes trouble shooting much easier. Tube filament circuits just about universally used brown wires. Signal ground was always black. Unfortunately the National Electric Code started imposing their standards upon the electronics industry and messed up a good system.

I did order some 22AWG wire from Antique Electronic Supply in 50 ft. rolls. For now I have Black, red, yellow, orange. I will order additional colors from time to time until I have a complete array of colors. Some of the colors I ordered are cloth covered. I would have preferred plastic insulated, preferably Teflon, but not everyone offers that in the size and amount that I want to keep on hand. I will keep looking at various sources to see if I can find reasonable amounts and prices. Thanks!
