Qualtek power module 763-00/001 assistance needed

Postby 77seriesIII » Tue Nov 27, 2012 6:47 am

Hello all,

So I am trying something new and am using a power module so I can select btwn 120 and 220v w/o breaking out the tools.

Here is the spec on the module:

http://www.mouser.com/ds/1/337/76300001-11868.pdf

The transformer I am using is one from Trafomatic and the four mains are labeled 1 thru 4.

for 120V:
connect 1 & 3 to LINE
2 & 4 to NEUTRAL

For 220v
Connect 1 to Line
4 to Neutral
connect 2 & 3 together

On the qulatek module I connected LIVE to "A" (on PDF on Mouser site bottom left corner - couldnt figure out how to attach a pdf)

NEUTRAL to 'C'

Wires 1 - 4 to their respective posts and then

post 4 to 'D'

Post 1 to 'B'

Did I do this correctly?

Doing this w/o the module is flippin easy and I am really rethinking the whole module bit but I've cut the hole...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...logic diagrams make Mongo head hurt.

Thanks

erick

This seems to be a similar module and may provide some insight...

Hi Tom,

I must confess, that is where I got the idea! (lol)

Still doesnt help that much. Worst case I plug it up and see what blows first, the house panel or the fuse...It is the nothing happens that has me nervous. I rarely ever, dont remember the last time ever get it right on the first swing.
