I did this for another member her the past few days:

Just sharing in case anyone needs ideas or inspiration. The piece on the back is a 3/4" pine board to accommodate spacing for a standard IEC receptacle without it hitting the transformer.
The faceplate is Purple Heart.

Overall, it looks pretty nice.

Looking fantastic! (y)

I love purple heart... but the local place doesn't carry thins anymore (despite a town full of scrollsawers).

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

Thanks!

Hopefully we get to see images as it completes.

I have about 30" of this 1/8" Purple Heart stock if you want some. It sat there for about four years until a few days ago.

nice !
my only nitpicking suggestion would be to consider using black (zinc oxide?) face plate screws, or painting them black....the silver color doesn't work so well IMHO

I did not have 1/2" black oxide screws:) just 3/8"
Which is too short.
