Weekend SE 6GK6 project - and PSE 6DZ7s

the thermionic watercooler

IIRC, the 6DZ7 channel separation was specified at 50 dB. If the driver tube is also shared between the two channels, this may be somewhat lower, but for most non-crtical purposes this si still plenty "good enough".

That's not bad. Super duper high dollar phono cartridges can barely make 35db channel sep.

I can see a SE layout with a 5R4-GY behind a 6DZ7 behind a 12AX7A.

You find some of the mostest coolest stuff to post, for sure.

Thanks!
Headed for Tishomingo to sing in a can...

I found this ebay auction for a Heathkit SD-1 stereo amp that uses a single 6DZ7 and three 12AT7's. It's a really weird amp as it looks like one output transformer for stereo operation. There's also some good pics of a 6DZ7! I wonder why it wasn't made as a compactron, that way it could have been two seperate tubes in one bottle.

If anyone has a schematic for one of these PLEASE post it!
